ERA announces the International Gravure Award 2025

The European Rotogravure Association (ERA) invites companies from the gravure industry to participate in the International Gravure Award 2025. This prestigious competition recognises outstanding achievements in industrial gravure printing and provides an international platform for showcasing excellent print quality, technical innovation, and sustainable production processes.

Eligible participants include printers, engraving companies, as well as cylinder and machinery manufacturers involved in the production of gravure-printed materials. Submissions must consist of print samples taken from regular commercial production runs.

The competition is divided into three categories:

• Packaging (flexible packaging, paper, board, labels)
• Various (publications, décor, security printing)
• Innovation

Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts based on the following criteria:

• Print quality of the submitted sample
• Compliance with typical gravure printing standards (e.g. complete dot reproduction, absence of print defects such as scumming or doctor blade lines)
• Sustainability aspects in the production process

Submissions can be made online as of now. The final deadline for entries is 15 July 2025.

The award ceremony will take place during the ERA International Gravure Days in Istanbul. Winners will receive a personal invitation to attend the event.
