AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a global leader in print inspection solutions, is strengthening its international management team with the appointment of Mark Nixon to the newly created role of Global Sales Account Development. With this appointment, the company underlines its growth ambitions and strategic focus on global key accounts.
Based in London, Nixon brings decades of experience in the print industry, having held senior sales and marketing positions and worked closely with customers across a wide range of market segments to deliver tailored solutions. He joins AVT from Scodix, where he spent more than ten years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing.

“We pride ourselves on having sales teams who are true industry experts and act as consultants to our customers,” said Roy Porat, CEO of AVT. “Mark’s experience and market insight are an excellent fit for AVT. In this key role, he will listen to our customers, advise them and develop inspection solutions precisely tailored to their needs.”
AVT continues to position itself as a technology leader in print inspection and colour measurement solutions, while actively pursuing expansion into new markets. “This appointment clearly demonstrates our commitment to empowering our global sales organisation and helping customers maximise efficiency and profitability, while trusting AVT as a long-term partner,” Porat added.
In his new role, Nixon will focus on developing global strategic flexo accounts that rely on 100% print inspection and advanced colour measurement technologies to ensure consistent quality and accuracy across multiple production sites.
“I’m delighted to be joining AVT at such an exciting stage of its development,” said Mark Nixon. “AVT is a well-established and highly respected brand with clear ambitions for growth. I’ve been particularly impressed by the strong customer-first culture and the shared commitment across the team to put customers at the centre of everything they do.”
Nixon also highlighted AVT’s agility: “While AVT has been synonymous with excellence in print inspection and colour measurement for decades, the company is also highly adaptable. The recent introduction of a new pricing model that makes maintenance and support more accessible and cost-effective for customers clearly underlines this customer-focused strategy.”
The appointment is part of a broader series of leadership hires following AVT’s transition to an independent business under new ownership in 2025. As part of this change, Roy Porat assumed the role of CEO, while Dror Danai joined as President EMEA & APAC.
“With a clear vision and renewed direction, AVT is reaffirming its position as a trusted partner for print professionals worldwide,” Porat concluded. “We stand for 100% defect detection, reliable ROI-driven solutions and state-of-the-art AI-based inspection technologies, combined with customer service that is second to none.”
Founded in 1992, AVT has been at the forefront of print inspection innovation for more than 30 years, helping printers around the world achieve outstanding quality and efficiency through automated systems that deliver complete quality control at the highest production speeds.
