After the DotScope has become the reference for the measurement of gravure cylinders in recent years, many new functions have now been added in the 2D area. The measurement of stylus engravings has been extended to include the automatic measurement of wall width, cell area and surface percentage (dot%).

Cross-screen engravings are now also fully supported. Here, the two diagonals, the wall width, the wall/cell ratio, the screen number, the screen angle, the cell area and the surface percentage (dot%) are determined automatically.

The z-scan, which is used to precisely determine the cell depth, is now even more sensitive and works with improved artefact suppression, so that measurements can be taken with sub-micron accuracy even at lower magnification and a correspondingly larger field of view.

Discover the precision of DotScope measuring microscopes – perfect measurements for every surface!

SOPRIN GmbH produces highly mobile measuring microscopes for analysing anilox rollers and printing forms. The DotScope mini and the DotScope eco have been successful on the market for several years and have developed into technically leading measuring devices through continuous further development and have won many enthusiastic users. They are characterised by maximum mobility with low weight, efficient workflow, fast objective lens changes thanks to the lens turret and serial measurement. The measurements are extremely precise thanks to the plane optics and sophisticated software. Highly flexible data output to various report layouts and databases is possible. The measuring microscopes are easy to operate and ideal for use in production and quality control.

The measuring microscopes in the DotScope series also offer further advantages in use: Using a DotScope gives the user a higher degree of control over their process. Using the microscope reduces set-up times, increases productivity, improves quality and therefore increases the company’s profitability.
