Coveris has successfully completed the comprehensive modernization of its plant in Halle/Westfalen, Germany. With an investment of €9.5 million, the company has elevated production capacity and infrastructure to a new level – enabling it to meet the growing demands of its customers even more effectively. These measures significantly strengthen the strategic role of the site within flexible packaging production.

The modernization encompasses three key projects aimed at higher efficiency, improved product quality, and sustainable growth:

  1. New cast film extrusion line
The new F08 line has entered full production following successful material qualification. It expands flexibility in material development and enables tailor-made, future-proof packaging solutions – with a particular focus on recyclable mono-material films for thermoforming and medical applications.
  2. Next-generation gravure printing capacities
The state-of-the-art T9 Rotomec gravure press is now fully operational after a successful test phase. It enhances printing speed, precision, and process reliability, allowing the production of high-quality premium packaging with consistent quality and shorter lead times.
  3. New logistics concept
A newly constructed warehouse optimizes internal logistics and significantly increases storage capacity. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, workflows are streamlined, material flows are more efficient, and delivery performance is improved.

Strategic milestone for the future

With these investments, Coveris Halle has strengthened its expertise in sustainable mono-material films, reduced lead times, and further expanded its gravure printing excellence. This enables the company to meet customer demands for sustainability and customization even more effectively.

“This completed investment is proof of our long-term vision and our commitment to innovative packaging solutions. Halle is now in a position to respond to changing market demands with even greater agility and quality,” emphasizes Michael Schrameyer, Managing Director of Coveris Flexibles Germany.
